Chaplancy C.S.C.I.

Chaplancy

The work of chaplaincy derives from the Latin cappellanus, which means service, the involvement of a spiritual leader, outside the congregational boundaries of the church.

Institutionalized or not, the performance of such a ministry takes place at the interference of the spiritual domain with the social structure, and involves the unconditional, non-discriminatory and non-denominational assistance of all those in need, in difficulty, by providing a directive spiritual guidance, whose concerns immediate is a holistic recovery (physical, emotional, spiritual, cognitive and behavioral), and last but not least the establishment of a meaningful relationship with God and others.

Therefore, the ethos, the moral ideals promoted by those involved in this kind of service are the reconciliation, redemption and restoration of those assisted through faith in Jesus Christ.
